Dance Classes

The theme through the week is dancing with live music. This involves the art of improvisation and how to connect to and express the music. Explanations of the instruments, melodies. motifs, styles and rhythms will be given, We will have the accompaniment of different styles of music; the traditional rebaba band, a mizmar band and classic ensemble, giving us as dancers the opportunity to feel the stylistic differences. There will be clear guidance on how to improvise, and to become comfortable with this musical-movement dialouge, thus freeing and opening us for more creative expression.

The essence of the oriental dance has always been the magical exchange of the dancer and musicians in the moment. This inspiring experience can transform a dancers creative expression and deepen her art in all aspects leading to more radiant expression of dance.
